Durham Public Schools Food Distribution
Githens Grab and Go Meals are distributed on Monday and Thursday from 11:00-12:30 in the bus parking lot. Additional distribution sites are listed on www.durhamfeast.org .
On Thursday, April 30 The food distribution will be held from 1:00 pm-2:20 pm due to pending inclement weather.
The food is prepared by Durham restaurants and it is yummy!
The Durham Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to feed our students.

Email or call your teachers and let them know if you have access to technology. If you do, join their Google classrooms and you will receive further instructions. Also, claim your DPS Gmail account by clicking the link below and following the instructions.
If you do not have access to technology then click the link below to access materials that can be printed. Printed materials will also be sent to your home.

If you have access to technology then continue your daily work in Xtramath, Khan Academy and iReady. Email me, call me or use Google Classroom to let me know when you are struggling and we can set up a Zoom session for tutoring. Otherwise I'll check in with you to review your progress.
If you do not have regular access to technology then make sure your homeroom teacher knows that and has your current address. Learning packets will then be mailed to you. You can contact me by phone (see personal phone number at top of web page) if you need assistance with math packet work.

In math remediation we support students in learning at their own level and pace, using technology and one-on-one tutoring when students are struggling.
I-Ready Explained
i-Ready is an interactive online learning environment designed to assess students and provide individualized instruction based on each one's unique needs. Your child will be using i-Ready this year in math remediation.
Your student can log on to i-Ready using their DPS user name (first-last name) and password (birthday mmddyyyy).
Khan Academy Explained
Khan Academy is a free learning web site that provides videos, notes, and exercises for every math skill from Kindergarten through High School. Students use Khan Academy to improve their Arithmetic skills or study grade level material. Khan Academy also supports many languages.
Your student can log on to Khan Academy using their DPS Google account - user name (first-last name) and password (student number).
